The Bible gives us clear guidance on what it means to live for Christ.

  1. Surrendering Our Lives to Jesus
In Luke 9:23, Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” Living for Christ begins with a personal decision to surrender our lives to Him. It’s no longer about our own desires but about seeking God’s will in all things.
  2. Walking in Faith and Obedience
Faith is more than belief; it is action. James 2:17 tells us, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” A life lived for Christ is one that trusts in Him completely and follows His commands with obedience and joy.
  3. Loving God and Others
Jesus summarized the greatest commandments in Matthew 22:37-39: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” Our love for Christ should be evident in how we love those around us.

4. Being a Light in the World
As Christians, we are called to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). Our lives should reflect Christ’s goodness and truth, drawing others closer to Him. This means living with integrity, showing kindness, and sharing the Gospel boldly.
